The CAT7/CAT6A connectors are compatible with both stranded and solid cat7/cat6a cables, but not with CAT8, Cat6, Cat5e, or Cat5 versions. They support 23 AWG inner conductors and an insulation OD of 1.35~1.45mm. Both the AWG and OD must meet the requirements. The cable boots are used for LAN cables with an OD of 7~8mm.
The CAT7/CAT6A connectors feature a pass-thru RJ45 end, which allows you to identify the wire sequence before crimping. This makes it easier to insert the wires through the connector with the help of the attached load bars.
The included Pass-Thru RJ45 Crimper is great for RJ45 cat7/cat6a/cat6/cat5e/cat5 pass-through connectors and RJ11/RJ12 modular plugs.
The Compact RJ45 Crimper has a mini design, making it easy to handle the tool with one hand. This allows for an ergonomic grip and comfortable compressing action. The handle is made of special environmentally friendly materials that are non-slip and easy to clean.
